Who runs this site
diskling.com is run by Shameem Reza, an independent developer based in Germany. In these terms, “I” and “me” mean Shameem Reza, and “you” means anyone who uses the site. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.
Using this website
You’re welcome to read, link to, and share anything here. Please don’t copy whole posts to republish them, scrape the site in bulk, send spam through its forms, or try to break, overload, or get around its security. I may block anyone who does.
The waitlist and the contact form are for people 16 or older.
Guides and commands
Many guides explain commands that remove files. I test them on my own Mac, but every Mac is different, and macOS and developer tools change over time. Back up first, and read what a command does before you run it.
The guides are general information, not advice for your particular Mac. You run any command at your own risk. To the extent the law allows, I’m not responsible for data loss or damage that comes from following a guide.
Who owns what
Blog posts, images, and the Diskling name and logo belong to Shameem Reza. You can quote short parts with a link back to the original post. Please don’t use the name or logo in a way that suggests I made or endorse something I didn’t.
Apple, macOS, Xcode, Docker, and other product names and marks mentioned on this site belong to their owners. Mentioning them doesn’t mean those companies endorse Diskling.
Code snippets
Code snippets and commands in the guides are Copyright (c) 2026 Shameem Reza, and free to use under the MIT License. You can copy, change, and use them in your own projects, personal or commercial. If you share copies or large portions of them, keep this copyright notice and the MIT License text with them. As that license says, they come with no warranty.
The waitlist
Joining the waitlist is free and doesn’t commit you to anything. It doesn’t guarantee a place in the beta. Places may be limited, so invites may go out in groups. You’ll get one email when your place is ready, and nothing else. Once everyone on the list has been invited or has asked to leave, the list is deleted. To leave the list, write to hello@diskling.com. The privacy policy explains how your email is handled.
The Diskling app
Diskling isn’t released yet, and nothing on this site is an offer to sell it. Plans and features shown here can change before launch. The app’s license terms will be published before launch, and they will cover the app itself.
When Diskling goes on sale, checkout will be handled by a payment provider acting as the seller. The price, its terms, and the refund policy will be shown to you before you pay. If you’re a consumer in the EU, you have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase. For a digital download, that right ends once the download starts, but only if you agreed to that at checkout.

Guides link to Apple, Docker, and other sites. I don’t control them, so their own terms and privacy policies apply.
No warranty
To the extent the law allows, the site and its guides are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. I work to keep everything accurate and up to date, but I can’t promise the site is free of errors or always online.
Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, I’m not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for lost data, profits, or time, that comes from using this site or its guides.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn’t allow to be limited, such as liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Some places don’t allow the limits in this section, so they may not apply to you.
If something goes wrong
Please write to me first at hello@diskling.com. Most problems can be sorted out by email. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the consumer protection laws where you live.
These terms are governed by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany. If you’re a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts there.
I’m not obliged, and not willing, to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the date at the top changes too. Bigger changes also get a note in the build log on the blog. If you keep using the site after a change, the new terms apply.
